Morgen-Nebel über Wald

Because being and not being create each other.
Heavy and light complete each other.
Long and short shape each other.
High and low are
interrelated.
Voice and tone marry one another.
Before and after follow one another.

Acupunture
Acupuncture

During an acupuncture treatment, acupuncture points are stimulated with fine needles. On the one hand, this regulates the flow of energy (Qi) in the channels, on the other hand, the body's own self-healing powers are stimulated (release of endorphins and anti-inflammatory agents).

I use very fine needles that are not uncomfortable even for sensitive people.

In the case of needle phobia, there is also the option of treating the points with acupressure, i.e. without needles. Please contact me if you feel uncomfortable about acupuncture needles.

Tuina

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, Tuina is a manual therapy executed on acupuncture points, meridians, muscles and joints.

The name is made up of Tui (push) and Na (grip), which are just two of the many techniques applied in the course of a treatment.

By touching, massaging, pressing, rubbing and warming certain points, working over larger areas along the channels and mobilizing the joints, I harmonize the flow of energy in the channels, releasing blockages and supporting the basic functions of your body.

Depending on the indication, I use the Tuina massage in addition to the other methods or as a sole treatment.

Tuina can be done on the clothed body or with oil directly on the skin.

Moxa, Cupping, GuaSha
Moxa, Cupping, GuaSha

With moxibustion I warm the acupuncture points by burning off dried leaves of Artemisia Vulgaris (mugwort). The heat supplied to your body in this way helps to drive away cold and damp and to move Qi and blood.

I use both loose herbs, which I burn on a slice of ginger as a base, or mugwort pressed into a cigar shape, which gives off its heat a few centimeters away from the point to be treated. For large-area use, such as on the lower back, I rest a so-called moxa box on your skin, which is equipped with several such moxa cigars.

My patients find the warmth from moxa very pleasant and healing.

I sometimes stimulate the meridians and acupuncture points with cupping glasses. Cupping therapy is particularly suitable for treating the outer layers such as muscles and skin, but also for treating inner disharmonies.

A cupping glass can also be used for a soothing massage, which has proven particularly useful in easing neck and shoulder tension.

GuaSha, literally translated 'to scrape illness', is a treatment method in which I stroke a flat stone with pressure over your skin to stimulate blood circulation. GuaSha is particularly effective in relieving severe tension, but is also for the treatment of acute conditions such as colds.

Nutrition
Nutrition in Traditional Chinese Medicine

I love food and cooking, and for me enjoying a wonderful meal is just as important as supporting my health.

That's why I aim not to impose prohibitions, but rather show you the connections between nutrition and its effects on your body. I would like to show you simple ways to nourish and support yourself with food, maybe share some recipes to inspire you, and support you on your path to a strong and healthy body.

Nutrition is one of the cornerstones of Chinese Medicine and contributes significantly to our health and well-being. Ultimately, everything we ingest becomes part of us or provides us with the energy needed to function in our daily lives.

Wellness Massages

If you are healthy but just want to treat yourself, I recommend a wellness massage, a combination of TuiNa and classic massage. The treatment promotes relaxation and well-being, has a balancing effect on your body systems and is very effective for stress and tension. On request, I like to use scented oils.

The duration of the treatment is 60 or 90 minutes.

TCM
Jikiden Reiki

Jikiden Reiki is traditional Japanese Reiki in its purest, most original form.

It works on a subtle level to harmonize the energy flow in your body. Your self-healing powers are activated and you find relaxation and more energy.

Jikiden Reiki is a wonderful addition to TCM therapy, but can also be used independently for a variety of complaints such as sleep disorders, tension, stress, burnout, or pain.

A treatment lasts between 60 and 90 minutes and is carried out with the patient lying down and fully clothed.
